Just letting you ahead of time that unless you go for LAN (Split-Screen sadly isn't an option on PC, but it very much still is on console, albeit Campaign & Firefight remains limited to 2-Player Split-Screen despite Halo 3 & onward supporting 4-Player Co-Op in total while the Multiplayer for all games provides 4-Player Split-Screen support), you might meet some rough times trying it online (I played Halo: Combat Evolved Legendary Co-op with a mate close not far from my regional area, let-alone country and it did perhaps feel like "Playing Left 4 Dead 2 with 80-150 ping", which is not at all a bad experience regarding that particular experience, but perhaps may be an indicator that long distance Co-Op could be rougher than games built from the ground-up to support it or at least provide dedicated servers for it). ![]() Originally posted by Sgt.Nuclear:Good to know there are possible issues currently, ended up buying as it's probably still worth the money, but I appreciate the heads up. (Assuming it does arrive as hoped with still-due improvements such as Theatre support for Halo 4 Campaign & Spartan Ops as I don't know how the oddly-named 343 Publishing Team was affected by the Microsoft lay-offs earlier this year) and many people do report a rough experience playing Co-Op Online, especially with the not-originally-designed-for-it Halo: Combat Evolved & Halo 2 (I believe this is due to it being entirely peer-to-peer akin to the old days, so how close to your location any Co-Op partner may be as well as their internet connection's strength & reliability might be big factors in having as smooth an experience as possible), I can personally say that Halo may well be best played cooperatively (it's certainly been both my favourite & once most-played way of playing the games) and if you don't mind the Microsoft Account requirement or feel confident you can avoid the aforementioned issues (You should be able to play via LAN, for example), then I'd absolutely say "Go for it!" how can i play via lan? my game have extreme desync when i play co op While there is indeed currently a widely-reported Memory Leak issue with Halo: Combat Evolved (As previously mentioned by 'F6600' and while I can't confirm if it is AMD-hardware specific, there is a Steam Discussion that might lead you toward more concrete details about this issue) that something to address or resolve it is "coming with the next CU!"
